Amr El Ashry

Managing Partner

Amr is the Managing Partner – Egypt Tax Leader. He is one of Middle East for Consultations founders back in  1997. He is responsible to set the overall strategy for MEC network, focusing on increasing quality service  and enhancing the brand and reputation by developing and retaining key talent and expanding

its capabilities across all areas of the business.

Amr has over 30 years of diversified experience serving Clients in the tax advisory and financial services  industries in Egypt and the GCC. Prior to incorporating MEC, Amr was a member of KPMG-Egypt.

Amr maintains and develops a diversified Clients base from the largest multinational & local companies and  firms in Egypt and abroad; where he specialized in financial services and international tax and advised a  range of companies on the establishment, organization and operation of their business, as well as advising  some of the Egyptian companies on the tax aspects of their Egyptian and cross-border investments.

He frequently working with executive management to improve their capabilities to balance growth, risk and  return strategies and execution of business activities.

Amr is a Fellow of Egyptian Society of Taxation, Egyptian Society of Accountants & Auditors, and Egyptian  Society for Public Finance & Taxes, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ain-Shams University.

Khaled Abou Zahra

Khaled is an Egyptian Public Accountant, experienced over 30 years, has had a distinguished career serving  large and complex international companies and has served as a specialist in external audit, internal audit,  finance and taxation across diversified industries and functions with a proven record of value added to  organizations and high level of integrity. Specialized in international taxation and financial services and  advised a range of Egyptian and multinational companies on the establishment, organization and operation  of their business.

Khaled is committed to provide the best tax solutions to Clients, specializing in the areas of transfer pricing,  tax structuring, inbound and outbound investment, tax efficient financing and asset ownership planning.

Khaled joined MEC in 2018 after working as PepsiCo Inc. “Asia Middle East North Africa” Tax Director for 11  years after a long career journey with Ernst & Young, BMW, General Motors and Arthur Andersen.

Khaled is a Fellow of Egyptian Society of Taxation, Egyptian Society for Public Finance & Taxes, and Arab  Federation of Accountants and Auditors.

Khaled is an authorized Egyptian Liquidator and Syndic, Board member of the Arab Tax Society, Head of the  Tax and Customs Committee in the Canada Egypt Business Council (CEBC). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce  from Ain-Shams University.

Gamal El Gebaly

Gamal has over 30 years of diversified experience providing financial statements audit, acquisition due  diligence, and finance consultation services.

Building on his audit and standards expertise, Gamal is responsible for the companies evaluation, feasibility  studies, audit & internal audit, financial services studies, and Risk Assessment

Gamal joined MEC after a wide range of experience at (Grant Thornton-Mohamed Hilal) and KPMG-Egypt. He  is an Egyptian Chartered Accountant and a certified Auditor in Financial Regulatory Authority-Egypt.

Gamal is a Fellow of Egyptian Society of Taxation, Egyptian Society of Accountants & Auditors, and holds a  Bachelor of Commerce from Cairo University.

Hussein El Gogary

Hussein has more than 25 years of experience in local and international tax, he is a former KPMG Regional  International Tax Director.

Hussein joined MEC after working in Procter & Gamble occupying several tax roles in Egypt, Middle East &  Europe.

As an expert in tax risk optimization and restructuring projects, Hussein is responsible for providing tax  advisory services, and tax technology & compliance projects; to Clients from a wide variety of industries.

Hussein is a Fellow of Egyptian Society of Taxation. He has MBA from City University of Seattle in USA, holds  advanced Computer Science Diploma from American University in Cairo AUC and Bachelor of Commerce from  Cairo University.

Ahmed Mahmoud

Ahmed has more than 25 years of experience in audit and assurance services. He leads the accounting  outsource function.

Ahmed joined MEC from nearly 20 years ago, after working as an Internal Audit Manager at (Misr for  Mechanical and Electrical Projects “Kahromecha”). He had a diversified experiences for different companies;  where he contributed in successful feasibility studies and companies evaluation for clients M&A projects.

He lead many tax compliance and advisory engagements.

Ahmed is a member of Egyptian Tax Society, and holds a Bachelor degree of Commerce from Cairo University

Dalia Abdallah

Director
Business Transformation

Dalia is a CPA holder from California Board of accountancy, with more than 20 years of diversified experience  covering tax, controls, financial presentation and reporting, risk assessment and process map ping & design,  internal audit, and Fraud Management;

Dalia lead VAT implementation project in different multinational organizations in Egypt and UAE covering  different industrial sectors on different ERPs not limited to SAP and Oracle.

Dalia was involved in drafting companies’ manual policies and procedures and preparing the SOX rollout  documentation as an integral activity of internal control standards, evaluated and provided reasonable  assurance that risk management, control, and governance systems; conducted audit in accordance with  IFRS, US GAAP, and the Egyptian Accounting Standards.

Dalia joined from PepsiCo Inc. where she worked as MEA Senior Tax Manager for 4 years after a diversified  career in the company as Assistant Controller, Internal Audit Manager and Operational Finance Manager,  joining from PwC Egypt as Senior Assurance.

She holds Bachelor degree from Cairo University
